Beyond our regular worship meetings, Wooler Monthly Meeting offers programs that nurture spiritual growth, foster community connection, and serve the wider community.
We maintain places of worship in both Wooler and Peterborough, providing accessible locations for Quaker gatherings. These spaces serve as sacred centers for silent worship, community meetings, and spiritual reflection. Our Meeting houses are simple and welcoming, reflecting Quaker values of simplicity and community.
We offer opportunities for learning about Quaker history, beliefs, and practices. Our study programs include discussions on Quaker testimonies, explorations of spiritual texts, and conversations about applying faith to contemporary issues. These programs are open to members, attenders, and anyone interested in deepening their understanding of Quaker ways.
In keeping with the Quaker commitment to equality and service, we support literacy and education initiatives in our community. These programs aim to empower individuals through learning, providing resources and support for those seeking to improve their reading, writing, and educational skills.
Our community gathers for various activities that strengthen our bonds and deepen our spiritual practice.
